Plastic Recycling DO'S and DON'T'S In Indian River County, we recycle plastic bottles No. 1 through 7. You can identify the bottles by the number on the bottom of the container. The reason why No. 1 through 7 containers are able to be recycled is because they are not as dense as other numbered plastics. Plastic bags and wrap are NOT accepted. Please make sure lids are removed and containers are rinsed well.
